What I do at activpayroll
As People and Culture Director for activpayroll, I'm responsible for delivering a fantastic employee experience across our global business. We have employees now in 14 countries, delivering a brilliant service to a wide range of global customers, and I am passionate about hiring the right people, giving them the best possible experience and support to succeed, and helping them really shape their careers with us, wherever they are in the world.
Why activpayroll
If you are someone who loves a challenge, has loads of ideas and wants the space to run with them with the help of a really supportive and fun team, then this is very much the place for you. We're global, so you'll have the chance to work with colleagues and customers all over the world, and we work with some fantastic brands across every industry, so there's plenty of opportunity to learn, develop and thrive.
Who am I?
I've been working in HR and talent roles now for nearly 15 years, working in everything from big corporate companies to small consultancies in IT, Oil and Gas and Professional Services.
I've been with activpayroll for the last four years and am really proud of the business we have become. I first joined in the role of Talent Manager, with a focus on recruitment and talent development, before moving into a broader HR role as Head of HR - and in 2025, I was promoted to the role of People and Culture Director.

Advice for prospective candidates
Even if you don't tick every single box on a job ad (and spoiler alert - nobody ever does!), that doesn't mean you aren't more than capable or a fantastic fit. If you love the sound of something, just go for it - you never know where it might lead.
